The MoistureCheck is a two-in-one moisture meter that enables you to use the scan mode to identify problem areas in all building materials by quickly scanning large areas. Then, use the pin-mode to locate the exact source of moisture. The scan mode has a 0-200 numerical reference scale while the pin mode measures on a 5% to 60% wood scale and corrects for 69 individual wood over the range of 6% to 60% MC. The pin mode also corrects for temperature over the range of 0° F to 255° F ( -18° C to 124° C) , has a sheetrock scale of 0.1% to 6% , and a 0-100 numerical reference scale for non-wood building materials. Other features include top-mounted integral contact pins for 5/ 16” penetration, a connector for external electrodes, on-screen reading recall of up to 1400 stored readings, date and time stamp for each stored reading, and job groupings. A carrying case and an extra set of pins are included. Power: one 9V battery ( included) .
